arctic ice melt

The ice pack floating on the Arctic Ocean is melting faster than people thought before, according to a study reviewed by the NY Times Andrew Revkin. The old estimate was that the ocean could be ice-free sometime between 2050 and the early 22nd century; the new estimate isnt really clear from the story. Read the whole thing here.
